Release Authorization from Multiple Cards

Stay allows users to release authorization when multiple cards are authorized for a reservation, group, or house account.

Permission

The following permission must be assigned to enable users to release authorization from multiple authorized cards.

  • Stay_ReleaseCreditCardAuthorization

This permission is assigned to the following roles by default:

  • System Administrator

  • Stay Hotel Manager

  • Department Manger

  • Profile Management

  • Stay Front Desk

  • Stay Hotel Supervisor

  • GSA Supervisor

  • Stay Accounting

  • Accounts Receivable Manager

  • Stay Night Audit

Release Authorized Amount

Users can view the total amount authorized for the guest and third-party credit card payment methods in a reservation in the Auth Summary tab in the Payment Methods section. Users must select the preferred credit cards and click the Release Authorizations button. When clicked, the Confirm Release Authorization pop-up screen appears that displays details of the credit cards for which the authorized amount is to be released.

When users click Yes, the authorized amount will be released and updated as $0.00.
